Day 1

Madrid: Sightseeing tour of the city where we see the most important places of Madrid. We will tour Madrid´s Almudena Cathedral and the Shrine of Our Lady of Almudena, where we mass. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 2

Madrid - Lisbon: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning departure to the city of Lisbon, a splendid old capital of Portugal and the rich and cosmopolitan city in Europe in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Sightseeing tour of the most important places of the city. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 3

Lisbon: Breakfast at hotel. Following the magnificent estuary of the Tagus River we will go to the Tower of Belem, an architectural jewel of Portuguese Manueline art. In front of this impressive tower rises Jeronimo´s Monastery Church. Then visit the Fortress Cathedral of Lisbon and the birthplace of San Antonio de Padua, where now stands the church that bears his name. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 4

Lisbon - Santarem - Fatima: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning depart to Fatima. En route we will visit Santarem where the Eucharistic miracle occurred. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 5

Fatima:Breakfast at hotel. Today we will visit all the places associated with the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in the year 1917 to the three shepherds. We will visit the homes of the visionaries in the village of Aljustrel and Valinhos and the Fatima Parish Church where they were baptized. Also visit the Chapel of the Apparitions and the great Basilica. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Fatima - Balasar - Santiago de Compostela: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning depart to Santiago de Compostela. En route we will visit Balasar, where the remains of Blessed Alexandrina Maria da Costa, a Portuguese Salesian considered a mystical martyr of the Holy Eucharist. Then continue on to Santiago de Compostela. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 7

Santiago de Compostela: Breakfast at hotel. Morning walk through the streets of this unique, religious and cultural center of reference in Europe, to appreciate its monuments, the Cathedral, the Universities and squares. Visit to the tomb of the Apostle in whose crypt is the tomb of Santiago and his disciples Athanasius and Theodore. The relics rest in a silver urn with the monogram of Christ (Crismón) at the top. It is a tradition to climb up to the dressing room of the Apostle, where James awaits the prayers of the pilgrims from the consecration of the temple in the year 1211. Then visit the Cloister of the Carmelites and the Franciscans and at night to see and hear the Estudiantina of Santiago. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 8

Santiago de Compostela – Covadonga – Santander : Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure to Covadonga, city of the Shrine of Our Lady of Covadonga, nestled in the middle of the mountains in the Picos de Europa National Park and where the image of the Virgin called by the people as "Santina" lies. In that sanctuary and protected by the Virgin, the Spanish Christian troops fought and defeated to the Arabs in 722 AD, filling them with enthusiasm and hope and ushering in what will eventually call the reconquest. In the evening departure to Santander. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 9

Santander – Lourdes : Breakfast at hotel. Early morning departure to the Pyrenees to get to Lourdes, France, one of the most important Marian shrines and pilgrimage centers in the world because of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in 1858 to St. Bernadette Soubirous. Visit their basilicas, the grotto of the apparitions and the torchlight procession. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 10

Lourdes: Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and participate in mass. Then visit the grotto, the lamps, pool, the museum of St. Bernadette and the Museum of Miraculous Cures. We will see the procession of the sick and go to the Cross. Afternoon off for rest. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 11

Lourdes: Breakfast at hotel. Day off. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 12

Lourdes – Zaragoza – Barcelona : Breakfast at hotel. From Lourdes we will travel to Zaragoza and stop in this beautiful city for lunch and to visit the Basilica del Pilar. In the afternoon, departure to Barcelona. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 13

Barcelona – Manresa – Montserrat – Barcelona : Breakfast at hotel. This day will depart early to Manresa, place of conversion of St. Ignatius of Loyola. We will see the Cathedral and the Holy Cave where St. Ignatius spent much time fasting, praying, meditating and writing. Then we will go to the Basilica of Montserrat visited by many other holy pilgrims such as St. Francis of Assisi and St. Ignatius of Loyola. The sacred image of the Virgin Mary, is a beautiful wood carving of the XII and XIII, rests on a polished stone block in Montserrat mountain, whose base is San Miguel. Catalan devotees call it "the Black Madonna" because of the dark color of the face and hands. Back in Barcelona we will visit its beautiful cathedral and then we will tour the city. Dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 14

Barcelona – Home : Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport to take our flight back home depending on the itinerary proposed by the agency.
