PILGRIMAGE TO ITALY
Day 1
Madrid - Rome: We´ll arrive at Madrid airport where we will take our connecting flight to Rome. Once in Rome, we will be picked-up at the airport and transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight lodging.
Day 2
Rome: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning we will go to the St. Paul Basilica Extramuri, then visit the Scala Santa and Le Tre Fontane. Later we will have a panoramic tour of the city. After mass we will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight lodging.
Day 3
Rome: Breakfast at hotel. Today we will visit the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, St. John Letran and the Vatican. After mass we will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight lodging.
Day 4
Rome - Assisi: Breakfast at hotel. We will travel to Assisi where we will visit the Church of Our Lady of Los Angeles and the Convent of St. Damian. After mass we will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight lodging.
Day 5
Asis: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning we will visit St. Francis Basilica and his hometown. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight lodging.
Day 6
Asis - San Giovanni Rotondo: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning we will travel to San Giovanni Rotondo where we will visit the incorrupt body of St. Father Pio of Pietrelcina and celebrate the Holy Eucharist. Dinner and overnight lodging.
Day 7
San Giovanni Rotondo: Breakfast at hotel. Today we will visit the Church of the Holy Family and the Capuchin Convent in San Giovanni Rotondo where St. Father Pio lived. Visit to the Cave of St. Michael and Pietrecina, the birthplace of St. Father Pio. Celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Dinner and overnight lodging.
Day 8
San Giovanni Rotondo – Lanciano – Rome: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning we´ll depart to Lanciano to visit the church which holds the Eucharistic miracle and then we will travel to Loreto to visit the Little House of the Virgin Mary. Then we will continue on to Rome for dinner and overnight lodging.
Day 9
Rome – Return to home: Breakfast at hotel. In the morning we will be transferred to the airport to take our return flight according to the agency´s itinerary.
NOTE: We may have an option to continue our journey to other places of pilgrimage (e.g. Medjugorje, France, Spain).
